A Harvard Law School graduate, Ross is a highly experienced and respected member of the BD&J team, leading the firm’s efforts in legal and ethical compliance matters. His decades-long career has spanned numerous areas of legal practice, allowing him to expand his knowledge of the industry and excel in representation of a variety of clients – from private citizens to major organizations.
Ross began his career as a criminal defense attorney with the Federal Defenders of San Diego where he provided much-needed legal support to those without access to counsel. He later litigated cases with prominent national law firms, trying numerous matters to verdict and arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, a major honor and career milestone.
Ross’s work took him from public service to private in-house representation as well. He served as Senior Counsel for the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he was responsible for drafting contracts and managing the organization’s day-to-day legal affairs. After these many years building his expertise, he accepted a role working for the State Bar of California, prosecuting attorneys for ethical misconduct and working for a decade to elevate the legal profession through compliance and oversight.
Ross earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1999.
