San Diego firefighters were quickly dispatched to fight what started as a small brushfire and soon spread to over 90 acres of land in Sorrento Valley in San Diego. The fire did not cause injuries or property damages, but its speed and spread required additional sources. The Sorrento fire forced over 2,200 residents and businesses to evacuate their properties. By the next day, residents were allowed back to their homes, and the cause of this fire is still under investigation.
